“Big Bike” - Pub Cycle
"Big Bike" fits 14 people and helps folks explore an amazing diversity of hot spots. You can taste and sample beer, wine, spirits and small bites within the super eclectic Whiteaker/Fermentation District of Eugene, Oregon. Your pedal energy moves the bike (with the occasional electric assist) and we stop at three spots during your two hour tour.
“Big Bike” is a mural on wheels! Thanks to the generous support of City of Eugene Cultural Services, Urban Canvas Program, we commissioned Whiteaker artist, Wayde Love to design a one of a kind work of art. Wayde painted wood panels that were digitized by Threadbare Print house and then installed as a vinyl wrap by Sign Pro.
Meeting Bike - COMING SOON!
Cindy - OWNER
You may know her from her many projects around town which celebrate the arts in Lane County. She was Eugene's first female booking agent and band manager back in the day, so she created Grrrlz Rock, then KIDZ ROCK. She was General Manager of WOW Hall, Event Manager of Eugene Celebration, US Olympic Trials Fan Festival, designed interactive art exhibits at OPUSVII and so much more.
Just before becoming owner of Pacific Pub Cycle, Cindy and her husband John hiked the Camino de Santiago across Spain and made a trail journal and documentary about it called "The Camino Project" in support of The Farmington Valley Arts Center.
Cindy is mom of two adult children, Daisy and Joaqin and cute puppy named Sprout.
John - OWNER
John grew up playing in the woods near his home in Vermont. One winter while out exploring, he found a snow mobile trail where he had never before seen one. A pathway leading who knows where. He followed this fresh trail until finally his stomach told him it was time to turn around and head home for dinner. Although he stopped early that night, the lure of the trail remained with him. Whether hiking through the canyons of Utah, over Colorado 14ers, the entire Appalachian Trail, or even across Spain’s Camino de Santiago he’s always seeking what’s around the next corner. The trails have taken him to work at diverse locations, from Ski Resorts to National Parks, from guitar factories to Hollywood movie sets, and most recently, the television network, ESPN. John is now looking forward to helping blaze the new Pub Cycle trail through the Eugene area, and welcoming new friends along for the ride!
Page - PILOT
Page is an artist-mother born and bred in the Willamette Valley. She worked seasonally as an environmental educator, bus driver and hiking guide in Glacier National Park. She enjoys meeting new people and showing off Eugene's vibrant scene. When not driving the Pub Cycle, she's making art and exploring outdoors.
Sam - Pilot
Sam is totally stoked on bikes. He is a student at the University of Oregon, which is where he spends most of his time. Sam has a great attitude, and tries to find the positive in any situation. Sam is an advocate of reflective clothing, and the biggest fan of hash-browns you have ever met. Sam is a Pilot because he loves having fun on bikes, and for the chance to meet so many cool people.
